The family of an 11-year-old lady who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed lifeless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to manage and telling them what she witnessed in the course of the taking pictures.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law known as me and he or she was simply crying, like 'I feel it simply hit Miah. I feel all the things got here to actuality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera stated Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of the two teachers killed. Her pals and classmates have been also focused.

Rivera said that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah acquired some blood and put it on herself so she could fake she was lifeless," said Rivera. "It's an excessive amount of for me to play that scene over and over again, but that is what my sister-in-law mentioned is that she saw her good friend full of blood and she received blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured however taken to the hospital and has been launched.

"My brother mentioned she had bullet fragments in her back," stated Rivera.

Rivera, a mom of three, mentioned the household is rallying round Miah to help her get well bodily, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this point, we simply have to hope and ask God to assist us transfer ahead by this example, I know it's traumatizing as it is," said Rivera.
