The household of an 11-year-old lady who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played lifeless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother mentioned the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed in the course of the capturing.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law known as me and he or she was simply crying, like 'I think it simply hit Miah. I think every thing got here to reality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera stated Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of many two lecturers killed. Her friends and classmates have been also targeted.

Rivera stated that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah obtained some blood and put it on herself so she could fake she was dead," stated Rivera. "It is an excessive amount of for me to play that scene over and over again, but that's what my sister-in-law said is that she noticed her pal full of blood and she or he received blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been released.

"My brother stated she had bullet fragments in her again," said Rivera.

Rivera, a mom of three, mentioned the household is rallying around Miah to help her recuperate physically, emotionally and spiritually.
