Bison gores Yellowstone customer, tosses her 10 toes, park officials say

A girl visiting Yellowstone Nationwide Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officials mentioned Tuesday.

The 25-year-old lady, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a information release from the park.

The woman approached the female bison Monday morning after it got here close to a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Outdated Trustworthy geyser, the park mentioned.

Park rules require visitors to stay more than 25 yards from the animals, the largest mammals in North America, that are unpredictable, can top speeds of 35 mph and may soar several toes.

When the visitor came within 10 ft of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 feet within the air, the park stated.

The woman had puncture wounds and other injuries and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service mentioned. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
