He asks “Are you diabetic?”

“By no means,” Pesce says — to which the officer responds: “Probably the fallacious reply.”

Pesce has been on restricted responsibility until further notice pending investigation outcomes as he faces prices for 5 traffic offenses.

Pesce disputes that he had been driving, saying “Nobody was driving.”

He was promoted to chief in 2018, after 20 years with Bordentown police, following the resignation of disgraced former Bordentown Police Chief Frank Nucera.
