Federal agents entered Uvalde college to kill gunman regardless of local police initially asking them to attend

Federal agents who went to Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday to confront a gunman who killed 19 children had been instructed by local police to attend and never enter the college — and then determined after about half an hour to disregard that preliminary steerage and find the shooter, say two senior federal regulation enforcement officials.

In response to the officials, brokers from BORTAC, the Customs and Border Protection tactical unit, and ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrived on the scene between midday and 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Local regulation enforcement requested them to wait, after which instructed HSI agents to help pull kids out of the windows.
