Investigators imagine Mtula Payton was one of the alleged gang members who opened fire in downtown Sacramento on April 3. He was taken into custody at an house complicated, the Sacramento Police Department mentioned in a press release Saturday night.

Investigators offered no motive however stated in courtroom documents that Smiley Martin and his companions recorded a web-based video hours earlier than the shooting, flashing guns and speaking trash from a location in rival gang territory. Three males alleged to be gang members and three ladies who have been innocent bystanders died in the shootout that occurred as patrons of bars and nightclubs emptied out onto downtown streets. A dozen more people were wounded.

The Martin brothers, who had been among the many wounded, stay jailed. Attorneys for the brothers have yet to comment on their charging.

Payton, who police say is a member of a rival gang, was being held in a Nevada jail pending transport back to California.
