Talking in the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going ahead till I feel better concerning the route of our country."

In a blog post, Kapler questioned whether or not the country's leadership is committed to representing its individuals's best pursuits and whether the US is really "the land of the free and the home of the brave."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mother in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her children. They blocked parents attempting to arrange to charge in to stop the shooter, including a father who realized his daughter was murdered whereas he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians decide that the lobbyist and gun industries are more necessary than our youngsters's freedom to go to highschool with no need bulletproof backpacks and lively shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he called "the dearth of delivery of the promise of what our national anthem represents."

"I am not okay with the state of this country. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I may have demonstrated what I discovered from my dad, that whenever you're dissatisfied along with your country, you let or not it's recognized by means of protest. The house of the courageous should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger action against gun violence in the United States.

Kerr refused to talk about basketball ahead of Sport 4 of the Warriors' collection in opposition to the Dallas Mavericks, as a substitute raising his voice as he railed in opposition to gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.

"Within the last 10 days, we have had elderly Black folks killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we've had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we've got youngsters murdered in school," Kerr informed reporters firstly of the press convention.

"When are we going to do one thing? I'm drained. I'm so uninterested in getting up here and providing condolences to the devastated households that are out there ... I am uninterested in the moments of silence. Sufficient."
