Man arrested in reference to “college shooter” indicators present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of indicators saying "college shooter" have been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Security announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of prices. 

An elevated amount of cops had been placed at schools in the communities on account of the signs. A number of colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators around the communities, the Division of Safety mentioned, however they decided there isn't any credible risk right now.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The protection division released a photo of the plate however blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of prison threatening and three misdemeanor charges including false report back to law enforcement, false public alarm and legal threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged right now.
