Sherpa woman climbs Everest for tenth time, breaks personal file

A Nepali Sherpa broke her own report as the most profitable female climber of Mount Everest by reaching the summit of the world’s highest peak Thursday

KATHMANDU, Nepal -- A Nepali Sherpa broke her personal report as probably the most profitable feminine climber of Mount Everest by reaching the summit of the world's highest peak Thursday.

Lakpa Sherpa and a number of other different climbers took advantage of favorable climate to succeed in the 8,849-meter (29,032-foot) summit early within the morning, her brother and expedition organizer Mingma Gelu said. He stated she was in good health and was safely descending from the height.

Sherpa, 48, never obtained an opportunity to get a proper schooling because she had to start earning a residing by carrying climbing gear and provides for trekkers. Thursday's profitable ascent was her tenth — probably the most times any lady has climbed Everest — and she has at all times said she wanted to encourage all women so they too can obtain their goals.

A local of Nepal, Sherpa lives within the U.S. with her three kids in West Hartford, Connecticut.

Another Nepalese Sherpa guide, Kami Rita, reached the summit for the twenty sixth time Saturday, breaking his personal document for essentially the most climbs of Everest. Rita led a gaggle of Sherpa climbers who mounted ropes alongside the route so that a whole bunch of different climbers and guides can make their option to the highest of the mountain later this month.
