Afghanistan’s supreme chief and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the country’s women to wear the all-covering burqa in public - one of the harshest controls imposed on girls’s lives for the reason that Taliban seized energy.
“They should wear a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it's conventional and respectful,” mentioned a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was released by Taliban authorities at a perform in Kabul.
“Those girls who will not be too outdated or younger must cover their face, except the eyes, as per sharia directives, with a purpose to keep away from provocation when assembly males who should not mahram (adult shut male family members),” the decree said.
It added that if women had no vital work exterior it was “better they stay at residence.”
During their first regime between 1996 and 2001, the Taliban imposed comparable restrictions on ladies.
