Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - A number of businesses responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm together with a number of different businesses in an try to find him.
The teen was found near the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
