The Uvalde Police Division and the Uvalde Impartial School District police drive are not cooperating with the Texas Division of Public Safety's investigation into the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty and the state's review of the legislation enforcement response, a number of law enforcement sources tell ABC News.
The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Independent College District did not instantly respond to requests for comment from ABC News.
In line with sources, the choice to stop cooperating occurred soon after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a news convention Friday throughout which he stated the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the fallacious resolution" and contrary to protocol.
