Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - Several companies responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world together with several other companies in an attempt to search out him.
The teenager was found close to the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could possibly be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the varsity or anyone inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly placed on lockout on account of the incident.
