As the Covid situation has improved, several corporations have already known as their employees to workplace, ending the work from home (WFH).

Over 800 WhiteHat Jr workers have resigned from the kids on-line coding studying edtech start-up in the final two months after being requested to work from office.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, requested its staff to return to office within a month’s time, based on an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the company introduced the policy to end work at home and asked remote employees to return to workplace by April 18.

The resignations came from full-time staff of the gross sales, coding, and math groups. Extra staff are anticipated to place down their papers in the coming months.

One of the workers who resigned advised the web site that a month’s time was not enough for relocation. “Some have youngsters, some have aged and sick mother and father, whereas others have other obligations. It's not proper to name again employees in such a brief period of time,” the previous WhiteHat Jr employee stated.

One other employee said salaries also factored in the choice to not return to the workplace. On the time of hiring, employees were instructed about their job location – WhiteHat Jr has offices in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Nonetheless, after working from home for two years, staff believed that their salaries needs to be revised to replicate the cost of residing in expensive cities.

“This was a well-planned and managed layoff that WhiteHat Jr did,” a former worker remarked.
