800 staff resign after firm asks them to work from workplace

Over 800 WhiteHat Jr workers have resigned from the kids online coding learning edtech start-up in the final two months after being asked to work from workplace.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, asked its staff to return to workplace inside a month’s time, according to an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the corporate introduced the coverage to end work at home and asked distant workers to return to workplace by April 18.

The resignations got here from full-time employees of the sales, coding, and math teams. Extra employees are anticipated to place down their papers in the coming months.

One of the employees who resigned told the web site that a month’s time was not sufficient for relocation. “Some have kids, some have aged and sick parents, while others have other obligations. It isn't proper to name back staff in such a short time frame,” the previous WhiteHat Jr worker said.
