TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in jail for touring to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met on-line, in accordance with officials.

The U.S. Division of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two different occasions in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Courtroom information say he flew back and forth disguising himself as an English instructor.

A few of the boys, in accordance with the DOJ, were lured with promises of money and presents. Others introduced him as their English instructor.

The Tampa Bay Information says Homeland Security investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh City. It was part of Venture Protected Childhood, which was an effort to seek out baby sex abuse started in 2006 by the DOJ.

“The laws of america will still catch as much as youngster predators who even travel to overseas nations to sexually abuse minor children. Day pleaded responsible to two counts of travel with intent to have interaction in illicit sexual conduct and two counts of attempted coercion and enticement of a minor into unlawful sexual activity, in response to the DOJ. Day has been sentenced to life in jail.
