Juveniles Crash Stolen Car Close to White House: Officials – NBC4 Washington

Two juveniles were injured Monday after crashing a stolen automotive into a concrete safety barrier near the White House, the U.S. Secret Service stated.

A Secret Service spokesperson tells News4 that officers tried to tug over the automobile about 6:30 p.m., but the driver took off.

The automobile slammed into a concrete barrier and a phone pole at seventeenth Road and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, officers said.

Video shows a silver sedan partly crumpled within the front across the road from a Secret Service guard post, plus a concrete barrier pushed into the street.

There were two juveniles within the car. Each have been taken to a hospital and are now in stable situation, officials mentioned. We do not know their precise ages.

They’re expected to face expenses.

D.C. police are investigating.
