The family of an 11-year-old lady who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to manage and telling them what she witnessed throughout the shooting.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law called me and he or she was just crying, like 'I believe it just hit Miah. I feel all the pieces came to actuality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's teacher, Irma Garcia, was one of many two academics killed. Her mates and classmates have been also targeted.

Rivera said that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah acquired some blood and put it on herself so she may faux she was lifeless," said Rivera. "It's too much for me to play that scene time and again, however that is what my sister-in-law stated is that she noticed her buddy full of blood and she got blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured however taken to the hospital and has been launched.
