The family of an 11-year-old woman who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed useless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to manage and telling them what she witnessed in the course of the capturing.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law called me and she or he was simply crying, like 'I believe it simply hit Miah. I feel every part came to actuality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of the two academics killed. Her associates and classmates were also targeted.

Rivera mentioned that is when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah acquired some blood and put it on herself so she might faux she was lifeless," mentioned Rivera. "It is too much for me to play that scene again and again, but that is what my sister-in-law mentioned is that she saw her buddy filled with blood and he or she obtained blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured however taken to the hospital and has been released.

"My brother said she had bullet fragments in her again," said Rivera.

Rivera, a mother of three, mentioned the household is rallying around Miah to assist her get well physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this level, we just have to pray and ask God to assist us move ahead via this case, I know it is traumatizing as it's," said Rivera.
