BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of indicators saying "school shooter" were found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security announced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple fees.

An elevated quantity of law enforcement officials were placed at schools within the communities because of the indicators. A number of faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators around the communities, the Department of Security mentioned, but they decided there isn't any credible threat right now.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The protection department released a photograph of the plate however blurred a part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of criminal threatening and three misdemeanor fees together with false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged at this time.
